The Amazing Adventures of Jafir is the first in a series of exciting page-turners for tweens, teens and adults about the brave young adventurer Jafir. The story takes place in a dangerous, lawless Ethiopia in 1830 AD. After spending a day playing out on the Savannah 10 year old Jafir and his eight year old sister Boomtina are heading home to their small village when they are attacked by a hungry lion. They run and hide up a giant Baobab tree. During a severe thunderstorm Jafir kills the lion but he and his sister, Boomtina, become lost and cannot find their way home. When outlaws capture Boomtina, Jafir sets out on a trek to find her and bring her safely home. But the more he searches for his sister the farther he finds himself from home encountering dangers and adventures that will test his will to live.
